Bradley Scott Graves was born and raised in Sugar Land, Tx. He grew up with a passion for music and the outdoors. At the age of 7, Brad began taking guitar lessons. He had a knack for playing guitar and even wrote a song called "Why Cry?" Although this song was clearly written by a 7 year old, this was just the beginning of Brad's journey as an artist. After his 8th birthday, Brad started drum lessons. He took drum lessons for about a year before deciding to focus on guitar as his primary instrument. Whenever Brad wasn't playing music, he was outside. He grew up Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, Camping, Riding Horses, and so many other activities... His time outdoors really seemed to spark his creativity.
When Brad was a teenager, he attended a multitude of different guitar camps, seminars, lessons, and any other experience he could gather playing with other musicians. His supportive parents always encouraged him to play music and his childhood home quickly became the hangout spot for local musicians to jam out. Brad continued playing guitar & drums, eventually picking up bass and beginning to sing. He began writing more songs and his guitar teacher started teaching him how to record using a DAW. That year, Brad received ProTools and an interface for christmas at the age of 16. He began using it to record his metal band, Thirty Pieces. He also recorded a few songs for a local band called Low Plane Drifter. This all laid the foundation for him to eventually end up in music school.
Brad attended Middle Tennessee State University for 2 semesters before he realized that college was not a good fit for him. During his time there, he made some great friends, but got into drugs. He eventually made his way to Austin,TX. In 2012, he started attending classes at The Recording Conservatory of Austin where he would eventually meet his producer, Sebastian Cure. Two years later, Brad opened up Horned Lizard Studios in North Austin. Around the same time, Sebastian opened White Room Studios in South Austin. Brad and Sebastian hung in similar friend groups and would often refer clients to eachother. It was unknown to them at the time that Brad would eventually become Sebastian's client.
The next few years would prove to be difficult for Brad as he spiraled into depression and drugs. In June 2017, Brad checked into rehab in the Texas Hill Country. It was there, he quit drinking and rekindled his relationship with God. He was able to write songs with a new mental clarity that he hadn't felt his entire adult life. Brad made a transformation in treatment and was determined to better himself.
After rehab, Brad moved back to Austin. There he realized that if he was going to stay sober, he needed to be closer to his family. in 2019, Brad "quit the music industry" and moved to Houston. He was working at the family construction business and lived with his 91-year-old grandmother while he saved up for a home. While living with his Mimi, the COVID pandemic struck and he spent a lot of his time writing music. He wrote and wrote and eventually recorded a 20 song album called "Worst Country Record Ever." He released the first single, Can't Be Wit Me on December 20, 2023. He followed with 3 more singles in early 2024 and just released the 5th single "Runaway Man" on December 4th, 2024. He will release a single per month until all 20 songs from the record have released. Stay tuned for some great content!
